Sattva Wellbeing.

Me.

I’ve faced my share of health and wellbeing challenges over the last 25 years and understand how it can alter mind body and soul.

I know how it feels to be disconnected from not only yourself, but from your loved ones too, doing everything to self-destruct and not really knowing how to help yourself.

I’ve struggled my whole life with anxiety and on off depression, having my first mental health breakdown at the age of 21 in 2006. I got help and recovered and discovered how to love myself. But 6 years later in 2012 things went a little pear shaped again.

I was 26 and had my first baby boy. It was a very fast, very beautiful but very horrific birth and nightmare post-natal journey with a baby who was pooping 18 plus blood soaked nappy’s a day and a healthcare system that called me a neurotic mother and failed us on every aspect of professional care. It was months of battling with the doctors and one particularly horrific episode that a trainee doctor finally took note and blue lighted us to Bristol where my baby had an emergency procedure for Intussusception. It wasn’t until a month or so later that I had my second mental health break down. A mixture of post natal depression and a build-up of having to fight for my baby’s wellbeing and in the end, his life.

It was through my second breakdown that I truly discovered the experiences of complementary therapies. It was through a mixture of allopathic and complimentary therapies that I got better, grew stronger, felt connected and truly myself for the first time in a while.

8 years later my mental health is strong, I've grown as a human and as a mother. My family are what keep me grounded and continue to help me grow, my silver surfing fox of a husband and my three wild, free spirited noisy boys, loving and beautiful are my whole existence. My heart holds all the space for them and for the three little soul's in the stars who are in my thoughts everyday.

I have a better understanding of how to help not only myself but my family and friends too. I'm passionate about offering a safe nurturing space for women and children, a space to feel calm, safe, and free from life's battles. A space that i hold dear in helping you on your own wellbeing journey through natural touch and holistic methods. I'm a firm believer we should fuel our sentient selves, mind, body and soul and live simply and with love.

I know first hand how powerful it can be when we find ourselves connected and in balance, to be in harmony and free. It’s what brought me to career change in 2017 and I’ve been eternally grateful ever since. Reflexology was a natural progression for me, even though feet disgusted me, I found an affinity with knowing that it could have profound effects both physically and spiritually and I qualified with a level three from the Devon School of Reflexology in March 2018.

Fun Facts

Professional Memberships.

I’m a member of the Association of Reflexologists (AOR), the largest professional body for Reflexologists in the UK, which has stringent criteria for accepting members and a professional code of conduct. With so many short reflexology courses available, I feel it’s important to explain the difference in being treated by an AOR member – in order to qualify and become a member, I completed over 100 case studies, assignments, a practical exam and a final exam in Anatomy and Physiology, achieving an ITEC Level 3 Diploma as my foundation in this therapy. I’m also a proud member of the International Academy of Italian Facial Reflexology to support my ongoing professional development.
